Centralized Thermal Stress Oriented Dispatch Strategy for Paralleled Grid-Connected Inverters Considering Mission Profiles

One of the major failure causes in power modules comes from severe thermal stress semiconductor devices. Recently, some local control level methods have been developed to balance loss, dealing with harsh mission profile, order reduce stress. However, there is not any specific system strategy leverage these responding the multiple inverters situation. Besides, impacts on cycle and lifetime long-term time scale evaluated compared yet. Hence, this article, a centralized oriented dispatch (TSOD) proposed take full advantage methods, including switching frequency variation reactive injection, stresses for multiple inverters. In addition PI controller, finite set model predictive (FCS-MPC) also explored synergize strategy. The results real-time model-in-the-loop testing four-paralleled-inverters platform, reliability assessment, experiments all validate effectiveness TSOD reduction.
